"W" vs. "w"

Using "W" does particularize where white is situated and collects together the meaning of "White" as an identity that differs from "Blackness" or "Black" persons. It can have the effect of making us face our "Whiteness" and all that that means vis-a-vis Blackness and Browness. [However, what about "Yellowness", should we create that racial category as well, otherwise we are leaving out our Asian sisters and brothers?] This creates a level playing field that does not privilege one race over another, but makes us each face who we are and what backgrounds provide us a place of standing. These separations of our situatedness will change over time and, I believe, eventually disappear into a oneness as we have never seen before.
